This one-day program "Survival Tool Kit For The Worksite Enforcement Jungle" will: discuss best practices concerning how to develop an immigration compliance program for all employers, large and small; analyze the E-Verify landscape; summarize the verification and audit regimes of various agencies, including USCIS, DOL, and DOS; cover how much I-9 violations will cost your clients; discuss lessons learned from recent DHS enforcement actions against corporations, in addition to future expectations concerning worksite compliance legislation; discuss the problematic issues surrounding I-9 audits; and analyze the development of the concepts of constructive knowledge and reckless disregard in light of case law, recent developments, and policy.

Registration Information:
Your registration fee includes admission to CLE sessions; specially prepared conference materials; opportunities to network; and a copy of the attendee list. You can also download and complete the registration form and fax or mail in the completed form with payment information to the AILA National Office. The following early bird registration rates are available until January 13, 2012. Registering by this date will save you $60 off the on-site rate. After this date, the advance/onsite rate will apply. After January 13, 2012, the advance/on-site rate applies. We will mail registration materials in advance to anyone who has registered as of January 13, 2012. If you register after this date you must pick up your registration materials on-site. We encourage you to register by the early-bird deadline to avoid on-site delays. Cancellations received by January 13, 2012, entitle registrants to a full refund (less $50 processing fee). No cancellation requests will be accepted after January 13, 2012, but the conference materials will be mailed to the registrant after the conference. All cancellations must be in writing.

The Los Suenos Marriott is sold out. AILA is currently referring its conference attendees to the Los Suenos Resort Condos. The 3 bedroom/2 bath condos are located in the Los Suenos Resort complex and within short walking distance to the Marriott. Currently they are quoting $740 a night for Del Mar and Veranda condos (least expensive) from January 25 - 28 which is the peak season rate. You can post room share interest on the AILA Message Board if you would like to share the condo to reduce the cost. Please contact CR Luxury Vacation Rentals to reserve a condo. Shuttle Information:
The Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort resort is located on the beach, 1.5 hours from the San Jose airport. Cab fare is $120 each way. AILA is arranging for shuttle service to/from the resort during peak arrival times, but advance reservations are required. The shuttle cost will range from $35-$55 each way, depending on the number of travelers. In order to get an accurate count of people requesting the shuttle service, attendees must sign up for shuttle service by December 7, 2011 via the online form.

  • CLE Credit Comments: 9.3 CLE Credits. AILA has filed for CLE and specialized credit in all jurisdictions with mandatory CLE and specialized requirements. To receive CLE credit, attorneys must record sessions attended and the CLE code provided via webCLE (located on AILA's CLE Center). Eligible participants can receive up to 9.3 CLE credit hours. AILA is not an accrediting body or regulatory agency, but a provider of continuing legal education to the immigration law community.
