40-Hour Basic Immigration Training

This intensive five-day training is designed to provide immigration case workers employed at not-for-profit agencies the foundation to gain accreditation from the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and to practice before the USCIS, immigration judges, and the BIA. (The BIA now often cites successful completion of this training as a positive factor in granting accreditation.)

Cost
$300 - non-profit organizations
$450 - if you work for a private law firm
This fee covers registration only. Lodging, meals and airport transportation are extra. You will also need to purchase your own course materials. Once you have been accepted into the program this information will be made available to you.

Who can attend?

Preference will be given to staff of not-for-profit agencies. (There is a limited number of spots for private attorneys or paralegals working for private law firms.)

Maximum number of students permitted

No more than 35 students will be admitted. Please register early since we have a limited number of rooms available. Most rooms will be double occupancy. There are a limited number of single rooms.
