On June 10, Rep. Jan Schakowsky and Rep. Raul Grijalva, Rep. Gwendolyn Moore and Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee will be co-sponsoring an ad-hoc hearing on the impact of Arizona's SB1070 on women and children. A delegation of directly impacted women and children will be coming from Arizona to testify. On this occasion, women from social justice organizations across the country will come together in Washington for an urgent dialogue on both the implications of these policies and practices for families in Arizona and beyond, and the vital role of women in turning the tide on immigration enforcement.
