This webinar will cover the terrorism-related inadmissibility grounds (TRIG), focusing in particular on how they affect applicants for asylum and refugee status, refugee/asylee applicants for adjustment of status, and refugee/asylee family reunification petitioners. The presenters will provide a brief background of the issue; discuss the implementation of new TRIG waivers announced in fall 2009 and the outlook for future USCIS actions relating to waivers. The presenters will also discuss tips for practitioners who regularly advise clients about TRIG-related delays in their immigration applications. The presenters on this webinar will be Sarah Bronstein and Jennie Guilfoyle, Training and Legal Support Attorneys with Catholic Legal Immigration Network.
