What Is National Day of Action?
AILA National Day of Action is your opportunity to educate Members of Congress and their staff about the problems plaguing our immigration system so that they can be more effective in crafting, promoting, and supporting legislative solutions. Hundreds of AILA members come to DC for this event, veterans and first-timers alike. Each National Day of Action participant brings unique insight and perspective of the practice and practicalities of immigration law and each participant adds significant value to AILA's overarching advocacy strategy.
In addition to our annual D.C. based Lobby Day, we are planning a truly national advocacy outreach effort-from Maine to Washington state and every region in between. On March 25, 2010, AILA will host a National Day of Action for advocates from all over the country to participate in meetings and educational sessions to help legislators and their legislative and district office staff understand the real implications of our broken immigration system.
