U nonimmigrant status is available to individuals who have been the victims of certain crimes. The presenters will provide an overview of the requirements for principal U nonimmigrant status applicants including: qualifying crimes; helpfulness to law enforcement and the substantial physical or mental abuse requirement. The presenters will also discuss derivatives, waivers of the grounds of inadmissibility and adjustment of status for U status holders. Sarah Bronstein and Jennie Guilfoyle, CLINIC Training and Legal Support attorneys, will conduct this webinar.
