A topic for both advanced practitioners and those new to the field, this two-part series discusses the rarely-taught subject of using international human rights arguments in immigration cases. In part one of the two-part series, experts break down this exciting developing area in immigration law that provides hope for cases that would have difficulty succeeding under traditional methods. This seminar will address questions such as: What is the framework for using international law arguments? How can such arguments be used in your cases? This webinar will be moderated by Sarah Bronstein, Training and Legal Support Attorney with CLINIC. The panelists will be Andy Schoenholtz, Deputy Director of the Institute for the Study of International Migration at Georgetown University and Visiting Professor at Georgetown University Law Center and Rex Chen, Managing Attorney at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, Immigration Assistance Program.
