Attorney Jayne Fleming, asylum volunteer and Reed Smith's Pro Bono Counsel
Jayne Fleming is a member of our mentor volunteer panel who has set a new standard for what pro bono attorneys can accomplish both here and abroad. Jayne has earned an international reputation for successfully representing refugees in high-stakes asylum cases, particularly in the area of domestic violence and children.
Clinical Director, Uwe Jacobs, Ph.D.
Survivors International, San Francisco
As director of Survivors International for the past 15 years, Uwe has provided services for hundreds of survivors of torture from many different countries and has developed and implemented a variety of programs for survivors. He is both a clinical neuropsychologist and a psychotherapist. Uwe is an expert on the psychological and neuropsychological assessment of asylum seekers and has written and published guidelines on this topic.
