The National Language Access Advocates Network (N-LAAN) is hosting its second pre-conference "Beyond Meaningful Access" on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in Washington, DC. In this one day conference, participants will learn about best practices for serving limited English proficient (LEP) clients and effective models and approaches to language access advocacy. The N-LAAN pre-conference provides a unique opportunity for language access advocates to: share best practices, resources and models of serving LEP clients and language access advocacy; coordinate advocacy strategies; identify priority areas and opportunities; identify resources that can support the growing work nationally and benefit from in-person networking.
